Ironically, I was going to buy a GH5 or GH5s that can record unlimited footage, but held off for financial reasons, with the LX100 as a stop gap. (No interest in using the apps this thread recommends, sounds very dodgy and a hassle.) Not got time to faff around joining files, despite owning Premiere and iMovie. This is totally unacceptable by Panasonic and I'm returning the camera. I just went and spend a frozen morning recording up to the limit of 15 mins ready to upload my footage to YouTube, only to find the video broken into three files. Years after your post I have just purchased an LX100, read many reviews and such, and of course, read the user guide. Sorry to hear you had such a really bad experience. My version is 2.1.2 from 2013 and the current version is 3.4. I got my copy right from the site I mentioned and have not had problems at all.

It is a despicable piece of software that actually does wht we want it to do, but infects your computer with malware that cripples it.ĭid you get it from the source? Many times people take software and create installers that they use to infect your computer and then upload it to various free software sites. I still use it on another computer but make sure I run it in a Sandbox(look it up) It is unfortunate because that software is perfect for joining files. I do IT for a living and couldn't repair it after many hours of trying.

It destroyed a computer of mine and the only way to fix it was a Format and reinstall. It was mentioned in the first post that it is malware.

Even works on 4k files as well as lower resolution.
